#1. Jata Shankar Caves
It is a great place for those who love history and mythology as there are many legends and stories about these caves. There is a natural Sivalingam and another structure that resembles Sheshnaag. It is believed that Lord Shiva spent a great deal of time at this place. Once you enter inside, you can witness beautiful limestone structures made of stalactites and stalagmites. It is open from 7 AM to 7 PM and there is no entry fee to enter the cave.
#2. Pandava Cave
As the name suggests, these caves are a group of five rock-cut Buddhist temples that were offered to 5 Pandavas for their shelter during their exile. These were built around the ninth century and inside the cave, there are many beautiful sculptures and carvings. There is also a beautiful garden inside the cave that has come of the most beautiful flowers to witness. It is quite a peaceful place and one must spend some quality time here.
#3. Bee falls
Pachmarhi has many beautiful waterfalls and Bee Falls is one of the most visited places in Pachmarhi. It is famously known as Jamuna Prapat and it supplies water to the old town of Pachmarhi. This is a picnic spot amongst the local people and most of the tourists and locals come here for swimming too.
To reach this waterfall, one needs to climb down almost 400 steps. However, the journey is worth it as this 150 feet high waterfall presents itself as the most beautiful landscape that you will see in your lifetime. There are also numerous small fishes in the pool nearby and many people put their feet into the water to get a free pedicure.
#4. Apsara Vihar
This place is surrounded by hills and forests and just like its name, it gives a vibe of a fairyland. It is very close to Pachmarhi and one can hire a gypsy or a taxi to reach here. Once you reach this place, there is a waterfall known by the name of Apsara vihar waterfall located very close to the drop-point The height of the waterfall is said to be 30 feet and there is also a pool at the base that is used for swimming.

This lake is one of the quietest and most peaceful places in Pachmarhi. It is located in the middle of the town and the boat ride is one thing that you must not miss. There are other adventurous water activities available such as banana rides and speed boat rides that you can try here. It looks very beautiful during the sunset and one can spend quality time with friends and family at this lake.
#6. Dhoopgarh
It is located at an elevation of 1352 m and it is the highest point in the Satpura ranges. To reach the top, one needs to go through a challenging trek that will take you to some of the most beautiful waterfalls and valleys that you simply cannot afford to miss. The sunrise and sunset from the top make you forget that you belong to the earth, it’s divine.
#7. Gupt Mahadev Cave
It is a 40 feet long cave in Pachmarhi and while passing through the cave, you reach to a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are other temples dedicated to Lord Ganesh and Hanuman. The entrance of the cave is quite narrow and only eight people can enter at a time. There are many crevices along the path of the cave that makes the journey exciting and thrilling. It’s open from 5 AM to 7 PM every day and there is no entry fee.
#8. Satpura National Park
This national park is home to numerous varieties of flora and fauna. To enjoy to the fullest at this park, take a jeep safari or ride on an elephant back. It is highly likely that you will spot animals like leopards, Indian bison, tigers, etc. The park is spread over an area of 202 mi.² and has a variety of trees such as Sal, Teak, Mahua, bel, etc.
Denwa River flows through the middle of the park and while you are on your jeep safari, you have to cross this river to reach the other side. There are also many endangered and rare species of flora and fauna but it is likely that they won’t be seen easily. The park is open from 8 AM to 6 PM and there is an entry fee of Rs.1250 for Indians.
#9. Chauragarh Temple
This temple is situated at an elevation of 1326 m and it is one of the most famous religious places to visit in Pachmarhi. It is surrounded by magnificent hills and valleys and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. To reach inside the temple, one needs to climb 1300 steps. This temple also has a pond inside it. At the time of the festivals such as Naag Panchami and Maha Shivaratri, it gets really crowded but beautiful.
It is one of the most famous places to visit in Pachmarhi and it gets its name from handi which means a pot. The shape of this gorge looks like a giant pot and therefore the name. It is a great viewpoint that provides a view of 300 feet gorge.
It is so deep that if you drop a stone from the top, the sound is heard after a few seconds. The shape of this gorge is V-shaped and this is created by two magnificent hills. It is quite famous for trekking, hiking, photography, and horse riding.
